This week my buddies and I made a lot of progress. With Jace, we completed the whole story kit besides the voice recordings. We have to redo those on Tuesday because they were recorded with too much noise in the background. After that he will be completely finished with his story kit. Since we had extra time today he went through and added a picture and background to every slide to make it more colorful and creative. I am very pleased with this work! With Angela, we are still a little behind. She was absent on Thursday due to a field trip and she is still writing her rough draft, we haven't even started story kit yet. This was kind of disappointing because time is running out and I am worried that we might have to rush through to finish on time. She won't have the extra time that Jace did to really make her story kit great. The problem I run into with her is that she does not stay focused and on task very well. Any time I turn away from her for a second she is looking around, or not working and that is why she is behind. I think she would have been better off with a one-on-one buddy who could focus on her all the time and keep her attention on the assignment. Now that Jace is done, I plan to work mostly with Angela the next few sessions to hopefully get her caught up, and missing today didn't help at all. The plan for next session with Jace is to finish the voice recordings in another room where it is quiet. We already wrote them down on a separate sheet of paper so he could say them without trouble. For Angela, I am just going to focus on getting her ready to start story kit, inputing the text at least.
